Rick brings 30+ years' experience, from new build to refurb, repairs & maintenance, on the tools and managing jobs from start to finish. For the bigger work he brings in qualified, reputable subcontractors he's worked alongside for years, so every trade on your job is someone he knows and trusts.

He started Hills Repairs after one too many jobs watching other contractors cut corners, doing a lazier job than they ever would in their own home. He built it to work the other way round: every job done to the standard he'd want under his own roof.

  • What areas do you cover?

    We're based in Croydon and work right across South East London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex, from Thornton Heath and Addiscombe to Purley, Bromley and Crawley. That's not the limit though, if your town isn't on our list, get in touch anyway. We travel for the right job.

  • Will I get a fixed price before any work starts?

    Yes. You get a clear, written quote up front, with no "while we're at it" surprises on the invoice. Quotes are free and there's no obligation.

  • Are you qualified and insured?

    30+ years on the tools, Gas Safe and NICEIC registered, and fully insured. Work is signed off and certified where it needs to be.

  • Do you have a health and safety management system in place?

    Yes. We have a Business Management System (BMS) in place covering quality, health and safety management and environmental sustainability controls, meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2026 and ISO 45001:2018. Our technical advisor, Dr Keith Lloyd Jones, holds high-level qualifications in safe systems of work, sustainability and quality service delivery. Dr Jones advises us on all compliance requirements in service operations and is available to respond on our behalf at any time.

  • Can you come out for an emergency?

    Where we can, yes. If water is coming in where it shouldn't, get in touch and we'll get to you as fast as we can. It's always better to call early, while it's still a small problem.
